Senior Business Consultant

As part of our Consulting team, you will be responsible to lead requirements analysis, design, execution and handover of technology and processes that relate to the program management of learning and talent management solutions for clients.  You will work closely with clients, engagement / account managers, business developers, project managers and the owners of internal service departments to manage client expectations, project resources, schedules and budgets.  The Senior Consultant must exhibit excellent project management and organizational skills and have a proven track record of leadership success.  The position reports directly to a Director of Consulting in a LMS Focused Practice Area.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Modern Top Tier LMS Platforms (prefer at least 1 year experience with 2016 or later)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as an engagement, functional, technical and/or implementation consultant
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working directly with clients during engagements
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience presenting, delivering and/or facilitating onsite workshops, training, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, and Virtual Meeting applications
  • Ability to travel – less than 20%

Job Duties

Implementation Consulting

  • Remain high-level of knowledge and proficiency with Leading Learning and Talent Solutions
  • Lead efforts to perform requirements analysis for implementation
  • Assist in determining approach and timeline of implementation project
  • Facilitate design efforts and reconcile to project scope and requirements
  • Deliver configuration workshops and product training related to implementation
  • Conduct virtual sessions to provide training, support, solutions, etc. as part of the implementation
  • Influence solution direction and definition for client’s implementation
  • Provide best practices, tips and recommendations for client’s implementation
  • Participate in weekly client status meetings
  • Develop and manage client relationships
  • Identify changes or potential changes from committed project scope, design, deliverables or proposals
  • Troubleshoot, document, submit support cases for product bugs, errors, or issues during implementation
  • Assist in the internal and external handover of finished implementation and processes

Practice Development

  • Contribute to deployment methodologies and toolsets
  • Remain current on Product and Partner Training for the LMS practice
  • Work in concert with rapidLD business developer to identify possible consultative service opportunities for learning and talent management solutions or services
  • Support business developer during the sale of custom solutions
  • Assist in closing additional services business within strategic accounts by leveraging operational relationships

Strategic Business Planning & Development

  • Provide support for sales and partners in the creation of proposals
  • Contribute to the development of statements of work for engagements
  • Participate in rapidLD’s strategic business planning efforts
  • Influence the rapidLD product capabilities and/or design

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build partnering relationship with clients, maintaining appropriate contact during and after project delivery
  • Gain confidence of client so that rapidLD is treated as a trusted advisor
  • Expand the presence of rapidLD in the learning and talent management industry through conference presentations and product evangelism
