Challenge:
rapidLD
was engaged to help Rockwell evaluate and implement a Learning
Management System (LMS) – considered the core of their eLearning
strategy. The goal of Rockwell HR was to cut their $17M training budget
40% while increasing the amount of training available and delivered by
40%. Rockwell wanted a system that was flexible enough to allow the
tracking of employees’ progress through the self-paced and instructor led
events found in their Individual Development Plan. In addition, they
required the LMS to be open to handle add-on products, tools, and content
around the core requirement of tracking online learning. Finally, they
were seeking an organization that could provide support following the
initial implementation.
Solution:

needs analysis and to recommend a LMS to suit their training needs

implement the Learning Management System

support and training during the installation

ongoing training to employees after the implementation
Outcome:
A Learning
Management System was selected after evaluating Rockwell Business
Requirements against LMS products in the market.

then assisted Rockwell in the deployment of that LMS and provided ongoing
training and support throughout the project.
Through the use of synchronous learning tools, rapidLD was able to
help Rockwell Collins better serve their employee audience by delivering
web-instructor led training events to more employees, in less time, and
with less costs than the previous year. Overall, rapidLD helped Rockwell
exceed the project goal of a 40% increase in training and 40% decrease in
budget expenditures. Today, peer companies and vendors have recognized
Rockwell’s eLearning initiatives as leading Rockwell to the ‘Pinnacle’ of
