Technical Consultant - System Integration / Custom Development
The Technical Consultant is responsible for custom application development, systems integration and solution deployment specified by clients during professional services engagements. The consultant will design, code, integrate, test and maintain basic to highly complex Learning Management / Talent Management solutions for client needs using appropriate enterprise technologies.
The Technical Consultant will work as part of a project team comprised of Implementation Consultants, Managing Consultants and rapidLD clients on onsite and offsite projects. The consultant will be responsible for working on concurrent projects for multiple customers.
The position reports directly to the Managing Consultant of Technical Sevices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, integrate, configure and customize Learning Management / Talent Management solutions of varying size and audience
- Design and develop data integration/data migration solutions in SQL Server/ORACLE/MySQL environments
- Develop custom reports and other LMS/TMS enhancements
- Contribute to all phases of projects by providing technical expertise, developing technical specifications, and documenting project deliverables as part of the project team
- Ensure that tasks are completed and documented according to product and client specifications
Requirements:
- Strong DDL/DML Skills, Strong SQL Programming Skills, Strong ORACLE / SQL Server Skills
- 3+ years of ORACLE / SQL Server, PL/SQL / T-SQL Programming, Microsoft DTS
- Experience in Data Migration, Data Integration and ETL. Experience with specialized ETL tools a plus
- Strong Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlet, .NET/ASP Skills (minimum 3 years experience)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinker and creative problem solver with strong consulting, integration and debugging skills
- Experience in JBoss/Tomcat, Crystal Reporting / General Report Development, System Integration Toolsets
- Nice to Have: Saba / SumTotal / LMS Experience, MySQL Experience
Candidate Differentiators:
- Client experience developing customizations and working with products from SumTotal Systems and Saba Software
- Experience working with LMS/TMS products, vendors or consultants.
- Experience with leading Learning Management Systems (LMS) deployments such as SumTotal Systems, Saba, Geo Learning etc.
- Experience with and solid understanding of content standards such as SCORM and AICC.
